To start the process of enrolment into your first three months of Custom Multisensory Therapy, phone us. We’ll discuss with you what the best next step would be in your situation. Sometimes, it is best to start with a generic Multisensory package such as the Serenity Program.
Here is how it would look like:
Step One: Assessment
Before Claudie can start designing a programme for your loved one, it stands to reason that she would need to gather as much information as possible about him or her.
The best assessment is the one in your home. For now, it is still possible to fly Claudie and her assistant to your location for two days. Claudie will make at least three visits to give you hands-on training and to assess your loved one.
The second best assessment is the one where you come to see Claudie in Okotoks, Canada. There will be one visit for the evaluation with hands-on training for you too.
The third option for an assessment is the one where we send you a list of videos for you to produce and for Claudie to evaluate. We send you a list of activities Claudie needs to see your loved one doing, along with all the necessary equipment.
All assessment options start with a preliminary phone interview and a generic online questionnaire.
Step Two: First Worksheet
Whether on the day of your assessment or a few days later, Claudie will send you your first worksheet. Each worksheet comprises Multisensory Therapy protocols that you do with your loved one, at home. There are always two sessions and there are often one or two protocols to do more frequently throughout the day. The programme is to be followed every day for two weeks, until you get a new worksheet.
Step Three: Your first summary report
In order to design your next worksheet, Claudie needs to know how your loved responded to the exercises and what changes in every aspect of your loved one’s life you have observed. Claudie needs to know how his/her brain changed, which part of the brain is being repaired, and which brain functions the brain is interested in repairing next. The reports you produce are the clues she needs.
You do not need to be an expert of the brain to know what to report, we need you to be an expert of your loved one to detect the nuances in his/her behavior, the variations in his/her performances in all aspects of life, all the moments where you will ask yourself “did he just do what I think he just did?”
Step Four: Your first scales report
To keep the measurement of progress as unequivocal and as objective as possible we developed a series of numerical scales for you to grade your loved one in almost everything that is quantifiable, from the number of temper tantrums, if any, to the level of anxiety generated by separation from you, through body weight, pronunciation skills and too many more to list in this short summary.
Step Five: Your second worksheet
Based on your reports, Claudie will determine what the brain is trying to do and will design a new individualized worksheet to support the brain’s own self-repair efforts.
and so on, with worksheets for two weeks, two reports from you, a new worksheet, etc
